It is that time of year. However, again this year, for many folks it couldn’t be much easier because the American Association of Retired People, known as AARP, and the friendly folks from the Internal Revenue Service, known as the IRS, are sponsoring the “TAX-AIDE” program. The program is a nation-wide free service for low-and-middle-income taxpayers of all ages and is available this year February 2 – April 14 . EFJR Funding on February Ballot
EJFR proudly serves the residents of East Jefferson County through comprehensive fire and life safety prevention programming, emergency medical responses, and fire and technical rescue responses, totaling more than 5,800 calls for service each year. EJFR Measures on February Ballot
East Jefferson Fire Rescue (EJFR) is primarily funded by local property taxes, comprising over 80 percent of revenues. Washington State law caps annual revenue growth at just one percent. by Carol Riley, Staff Writer A recent visit to Sisters’ Cider House, 921 Hildebrand Lane, Bainbridge Island, was a treat. Sisters’, owned by Port Ludlow residents Roger and Lee Anderson and run by their daughters Randi and Caron, is a fun destination. The award-winning cider, which comes in so many varieties, is delicious. I tried the Pomegranate cider and loved it. My husband, who couldn’t decide on a flavor, opted for the flight of four ciders of his choice – Black Currant,
