Introducing Riley Earl

Volunteer Coordinator for EJFR


East Jefferson Fire Rescue welcomed Riley Earl on June 16 as the new Volunteer Coordinator for the department. She will be responsible for recruiting, training, mentoring, and evaluating new volunteers with East Jefferson Fire Rescue (EJFR).


Currently, there are 45 volunteers serving in several areas in the department, including Volunteer Firefighters-in-Training, Emergency Medical Service (EMS) personnel, Support Volunteers who assist the fire department in the delivery of fire suppression services, and administrative volunteers who provide data entry, communication support, public education, and other services the department may need.


Riley’s background includes working for Olympic Ambulance in Bremerton, WA, where she was recognized for her strong clinical skills, leadership, and dependability in high-stress environments, all while working collaboratively with fire departments, law enforcement, and emergency room departments.


She also worked with the Bainbridge Island Fire Department as an Emergency Medical Technician where she attended Kitsap Fire Academy and was trained in structural firefighting techniques.


She is certified as a Firefighter I, an EMT-B through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, and holds two certificates for Hazardous Materials, one for Awareness and one for Operations.
