Plant a seed, read—and let your reading grow! Don't miss this year's Adult Summer Reading Program. Play Plant a Seed Book Bingo and read Close to Home: The Wonders of Nature Just Outside Your Door by Thor Hanson. Join us at the end of the summer to enjoy for a conversation by the author of this year’s summer read, Thor Hanson.


Don’t miss JCLD’s Summer Reading with programs and events for kids of all ages! Sign up at cleoreads.beanstack.com or pick up a paper tracker at the library or bookmobile to get started.


August 6, 10:00 a.m. – noon marks the last day of Read to Rover! Bring your favorite book or choose one from the library, then build reading skills and confidence by reading aloud to a certified therapy dog. Sign up for a 20-minute session.


Looking for a helping hand with taxes? Please join Francisco A. Diaz Saldivar from the Department of Revenue for free Working Families Tax Credit application assistance on August 7, from noon – 5:00 p.m.


Explore creativity through the art ofcollageon August 27, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.! Use magazines, images, text, and more to create original artworks while learning basic design.


Don't miss theFriends of the Librarybook sale on August 15, 10:00 a.m – 3:00 p.m.! Support the library while you shop for gently used books, audiobooks, puzzles, DVDs, and music CDs. The sale will take place in the Hagen Building next to the library.
