Friends of Fort Flagler Events

One of the best things about living in Port Ludlow is having beautiful Fort Flagler State Park just minutes away on Marrowstone Island. Helping preserve this treasured park is the Friends of Fort Flagler (FoFF), an all-volunteer nonprofit whose work is even more important with funding cutbacks. Along with supporting park improvements, including the recent restoration of a WWII theater, and offering many volunteer opportunities, FoFF also hosts a variety of fun, educational events open to the public.

Events in August and September 2026

Join FoFF at these upcoming events. Admission is free for members and just $5 per person for non-members. Annual membership is only $20 for an individual or an entire family.

– Clamming at Fort Flagler’s Lower Campground – Sunday, August 9, 9 a.m.

Discover the fun of harvesting clams while learning to identify local shellfish and how to use harvesting tools. Whether you’re new to clamming or just want to sharpen your skills, come and join in.

– Presentation: “Who Are The Orcas That Frequent Our Local Waters?”  Wednesday September 23, 4 – 5:30 p.m.
