I hope this note finds you well and enjoying spring in our beautiful corner of the Pacific
Northwest. On April 18, the Ludlow Maintenance Commission (LMC) held its 58th Annual Member Meeting. Thank you to everyone who participated. The results of this year’s Annual Meeting voting have been posted on the LMC website for those who would like to review them.
I’d like to take a moment to recognize and thank Russ Sharp for his three years of
dedicated service on the LMC Board of Trustees. During his time on the Board, Russ also
served on both the Operations and Firewise Committees. His contributions at both the
Board and committee levels have been greatly appreciated. Thank you, Russ, for your
commitment to our community.
This year also marked the end of Board terms for Bob Shaw and Kathi Pugh, both of
whom chose to run for reelection at the Annual Meeting. We appreciate their continued
willingness to serve. While I’m offering thanks, I want to extend my sincere appreciation to all our committee members and volunteers. So much important work happens behind the scenes, and it’s because of your dedication that our little village in the woods continues to be such a special place to live.
Following the Annual Meeting, the Board met to elect officers for the coming year. The
results of that election are posted in the Board of Trustees section of the LMC website.
I’m also happy to share some good seasonal news: the outdoor pool will open on Friday,
May 15, and will remain open through October 15. We hope you enjoy another wonderful
pool season.
As a reminder, the Ludlow Maintenance Commission represents 1,090 properties,
including singlefamily homes, condominiums, and townhomes. Our North Bay community includes retirees, empty nesters, and young families, creating a wonderfully diverse group with a wealth of experience and knowledge.
I encourage all LMC members to consider getting involved as volunteers. There are many
opportunities to help – whether through serving on a Board or committee, or by lending a
hand with one of our social events. Volunteer roles can be longterm or as simple as helping with a single event. If you’re interested in contributing and making an impact in the community you call home, we would love to hear from you.
For more information about our committees and meeting times, please visit

In addition, LMC is currently seeking someone to prepare the monthly Board of Trustees
meeting minutes. This is a paid position requiring approximately five hours per month. If
this sounds like something you might be interested in, please email me and I’d be happy to share more details.
As always, thank you for being part of our Ludlow community. I look forward to seeing
you around the Beach Club and throughout North Bay. If you have questions or comments about this article or the on-going work at the Beach Club, I can be reached at 360-437-9201 or by email at GM@LMCBeachClub.org.
