Update from the Manager

As we welcome the summer season, I would like to remind everyone to remain mindful of the current fire danger in our area. At the time of writing, the fire danger level is moderate.

The following activities are prohibited:  burn barrels, land-clearing burns, yard debris burning, and sky lanterns. The following activities are still allowed: recreational fires in permanent or portable barbecues, outdoor fireplaces, and grills. Portable fire pits, fireplaces, and chimineas placed on non-combustible surfaces or surrounded by at least 1.5 feet of cleared combustible material. Burning of natural wood only, with fuel contained entirely within the device. All fires must be attended at all times and fully extinguished before being left unattended

On another note, we have a very special milestone to celebrate this month. If you happen to visit the Beach Club and see our Office Manager, Kim Bond, please take a moment to congratulate her on an extraordinary 40 years of service with the Ludlow Maintenance Commission (LMC). Kim has been a remarkable part of our community’s history and growth. Since joining LMC in 1986, she has witnessed decades of change throughout North Bay and Port Ludlow. She has seen residents come and go, watched the Beach Club evolve through renovations and improvements, worked alongside countless board and committee members, and partnered with several general managers. Through all those years of change, Kim has remained a constant source of knowledge, professionalism, and dedication. Few people can claim to have contributed so much to a community for so long. Her commitment to serving residents and supporting LMC operations has helped shape the organization and the community we enjoy today. Kim, thank you for your four decades of service, loyalty, and hard work. Your contributions are deeply appreciated, and you are truly a special part of the Port Ludlow community. Congratulations on this remarkable achievement!
