Port Ludlow Village Council (PLVC) Board of Directors Meeting: March 2026 Briefing

The Port Ludlow Village Council (PLVC) Board of Directors meeting held on Thursday, March 5, highlighted significant advancements in regional infrastructure, public safety, and community programming. Key developments include the procurement of a $6.44 million BEAD grant by the Jefferson County Public Utility District (PUD) to expand fiber broadband to underserved homes, and a major legislative victory regarding fire insurance ratings for residents living beyond the five-mile threshold of a fire station.

Public works initiatives are undergoing transition, with the county moving toward a centralized recycling model and planning a new transfer station. Local infrastructure projects, specifically the General Sewer Plan and treatment plant improvements, remain on schedule for late 2026 completion. Financially, the PLVC remains stable, ending February with $17,954.63 in cash on hand, supported by community donations and a forthcoming seasonal raffle.
