Port Ludlow Art League April Speakers - Eileen Sorg and Farren Moss

The Port Ludlow Art League welcomes Eileen Sorg and Farren Moss as the speakers for their April Program Meeting.

Eileen Sorg is a professional artist based in the Pacific Northwest and is well known for her magical, narrative drawings. She shows her work at juried festivals across the country and has originals in museums and private collections worldwide. In addition to her personal studio work, she accepts commissions. She is a popular instructor, teaching workshops across the U.S. and Canada, where she shares her love of drawing and the mixed media technique she has developed over the years.

Eileen is also recognized as a Signature Member of the Colored Pencil Society of America and the author of several books on drawing in colored pencils produced by Walter Foster Publishing.

Black Barn Fine Art Studio, located in Kingston, was Eileen’s brainchild for many years. The studio is a teaching facility that offers workshops covering a wide range of disciplines taught by working artists that are both local and from across the country. Eileen will talk about how the idea for the studio originated, what classes are offered, artist residencies and mentorships. 

Farren Moss is the studio’s oil painting guru. Farren will be talking about her education and background, along with discussing her oil mentorship courses at the studio.

The program meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, 1 – 3 p.m. at the Port Ludlow Beach Club. The Beach Club is located at 121 Marina View Drive in Port Ludlow. Guests are welcome to attend for a $5 fee. For more information, visit portludlowart.org.
