Port Angeles Field Arts & Events Hall – August Calendar of Events

·       Sunday, August 2 at noon | Jazz Sunday with the Hot Club of PTThe ensemble features Django Reinhardt-style Hot Club jazz, harmony vocals (in English and French), French waltzes and the occasional Brazilian choro. Free event.

 

·       Monday, August 3 at 7:30 p.m. | The Travelin’ McCourys Ronnie McCoury (mandolin), Rob McCoury (banjo) and sons of bluegrass legend Del McCoury bring an improvisation-driven performance that blends the intersection of traditional bluegrass with progressive jam influences. Tickets are $29.50 - $54.50.

 

·       Thursday, August 6 at 7:30 p.m. | Pedro Pastor y Los Locos DescalzosJoin us for a night with Spanish singer-songwriter Pedro Pastor and his band, Los Locos Descalzos, as they celebrate 10 years of touring the world and songs from their latest album, 10 LOCOS AÑOS DESCALZOS. Tickets are $37 - $47.

·       Saturday, August 8 at 8 p.m. | Pigs on the Wing Presents: AnimalsRelish a Pink Floyd concert experience with a full performance of Pink Floyd's 1977 album, Animals, and a second set highlighting the best of Pink Floyd's Roger Waters-era catalog. This event is not eligible for membership benefits. Tickets are $26 - $51.

Thursday, August 13 at 6 p.m. | Farm-to-Table Wine Pairing Dinner with Castle & Crown Cellars      Celebrate summer’s bounty with a four-course farm-to-table dinner featuring wine  ___pairings from the Castle and Crown winery. An innovative menu includes extraordinary ___meats, cheeses and produce from Olympic Peninsula farms. Tickets are $115 (members) __ - $125 (general admission). Pricing is inclusive of tax and tip. 

·       Saturday, August 15 at 7:30 p.m. | The Rumba KingsThe Rumba Kings will transport you the Mediterranean, where music and passion collide! The Spanish guitar takes center stage with a string quartet. Tickets are $55 - $70.


·       Tuesday, August 18 and Thursday, August 20 at 6 p.m. | Tenderly: The Life & Times of Nat King Cole Duane Forrest reimagines the music of Nat King Cole in a soulful, story-driven performance about legacy, race and quiet resistance. Tickets are $40 with a two-item food and beverage minimum. 


·       Saturday, August 22 at 7 p.m. | Music on the Strait Presents: Opening Night at the OperaMusic on the Strait opens with mezzo soprano Abigail Nims performing Resphigi’s expressive Il Tramonto (The Sunset) and El Mundo, an arrangement by Gabriela Lena Frank, a Pulitzer Prize winner. The program will close with Erno Dohnanyi’s Piano Quintet in C minor with pianist August Baik. Tickets are $15 - $55 adults, $10 students (under 25).

·       Sunday, August 30 at 3 p.m. | Music on the Strait Presents: Festival Finale with Jeremy Denk and the Takács QuartetThe summer finale concludes with Jeremy Denk in concert with the Takács Quartet featuring F minor with Mendelssohn’s Op. 80 Quartet and César Franck’s Piano Quintet. Tickets are $15 - $55 adults, $10 students (under 25).
