Update from the Manager

by Mike Wilson, General Manager

April showers bring May flowers, as the saying goes. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the milder winter weather here compared to Vancouver, Washington. While it has still been cold, the rain hasn’t been as constant as expected. With spring approaching, let’s hope for some much‑needed late March and April snowpack in the mountains.

As we look ahead, please mark your calendars for two important dates:

  • Annual Meeting Reception – Friday, April 17

  • Annual Meeting – Saturday, April 18

I’m eager to see how many of you attend both events. These gatherings are a great opportunity to connect, review the past year, and learn more about the projects and initiatives planned for 2026.

If you haven’t already scheduled any needed work for your home – such as roofing, painting, landscaping, or general repairs – now is the time. Our window for outdoor projects is short, and getting an early start is beneficial for everyone involved. I also encourage you to talk with your neighbors about coordinating services like gutter cleaning, moss treatment, or landscaping. When done in groups, these projects often come at a lower cost.

In March, we hosted our first-ever Mariners Opening Day Social, and it was a wonderful start to what I hope will become a more active community calendar. As your new General Manager, I’m excited to explore more opportunities for social events in the Bayview Room. In a perfect world, we’d have something happening every month – and I’m optimistic we’re moving in that direction.

As always, I’m here if you have any questions, comments, or ideas for future activities. I look forward to seeing many of you in April!
