The Port Ludlow Women’s Golf Association (PLWGA)
The PLWGA, an 18-hole Women’s Golf League, is seeking new members. The League schedules competitive 18-hole rounds on Tuesdays during the season. Captain Linda Aho will be welcoming members, new and old, on April 7, the League’s Opening Day. The PLWGA annual membership fee is $115 plus the GHIN (Handicap) Annual Fee of $52.
PLWGA members also participate in the following Port Ludlow Golf Course (PLGC) sponsored events: Ladies Invitational for WA State’s Women, Battle of Port Ludlow, and The Ryder Cup. Additionally, monthly Play Away Days at area golf courses and an annual Gals Getaway trip are planned for members. Many members also play in the Dove House Tournament, and some members play in WA State Public Links’ Tournaments.
Prospective PLWGA members may contact the Port Ludlow Golf Course (PLGC) Pro Shop for information about the league, and they are invited to join the group on any Tuesday Play Day. PLGC membership is not required for participation in the PLWGA.
Niners:
The Niners’ Men and Women invite area residents to join them in the 2026 season to play 9 holes of competitive golf weekly. The 2026 Niners’ Cocktail Party is scheduled for early April. This event gives members the opportunity to renew friendships and welcome new Niners members. Niners’ Captain, John Bockoven, will highlight the coming season’s events. Carole and Doug Fett are Chairpersons for the Niners’ Couples’ 9-hole events that are planned for the fourth Thursday of each month. Monthly Play Away days at area courses will be scheduled.
The Niners’ annual membership fee for course members is $35 and $50 for non-members. This membership includes Washington State Golf Association Membership. All members must pay the annual GHIN membership fee of $52 to have a handicap. The Niners collect additional minimal funds for weekly prizes. Prospective Niners members should contact the Pro Shop Desk at the Port Ludlow Golf Course (PLGC) for league information. The PL Lady Niners and the PL Niners Men invite prospective members to join the group for 9 holes of play any Thursday. Port Ludlow Golf Course membership is not required for joining the Niners.
Note: While the Men’s Golf Association (MGA) is no longer functioning as a formal organization in 2026, Wednesday weekly play will continue, and Play Away Days will be scheduled. The Men and Women Exchange events will continue mid-season. Area men should contact the PLGC Pro Shop to have their email address added to the Golf Genius Wednesday invitation list.
