The Port Ludlow Hiking Club offers hikes for all levels, from more than 30 miles of local Port Ludlow trails to the 6,280-foot summit of Mount Townsend.

Some hikes follow a regular weekly schedule, while others are coordinated by volunteer hike leaders. The hikes organized by the hike leaders may take place any day of the week and can be planned days, weeks, or months in advance. The goal is to share the outdoors with as many people as possible. The Hiking Club supports the hikers by sharing planning information with all members.

You can select any of the following hiking opportunities. Note: See Port Ludlow Hiking Club website details at portludlowhikingclub.com/.

·      Any Date and Time Port Ludlow Trails Hike: Port Ludlow’s 30-plus miles of trails are available anytime for hikers to enjoy local forests, waterfalls, and views of the Olympic Mountains and the Cascade Range. See the website MAPS tab for a detailed trail map.

·      Wednesday Timberton Loop Hike: Meet weekly at the Timberton Drive trailhead parking lot at 9 a.m. for a self-led hike on the moderate 4.2-mile Timberton Loop trail. See the website MAPS tab for a detailed trail map that includes the Timberton Loop Trail.

·      Monday/Wednesday/Friday Old Cart Path Hike: Meet weekly at the Port Ludlow Golf Course Club House parking lot at 9 a.m. for a self-led hike on the Old Cart Path Loop, a moderate 2.8 mile route along the asphalt golf cart path. ·      Any Date, Time, or Place Hike: Any Hiking Club member may act as a hike leader to organize a hike on any trail within a reasonable distance of Port Ludlow (see the website TRAILS tab for suggestions). The hike leader should provide the required hike details listed on the website ORGANIZE tab and email the information along with the hike leader’s contact information to the Port Ludlow Hiking Club Scribe at portludlowhikingclub@gmail.com. The scribe will forward the information to all Hiking Club members. Anyone with questions about the hike should contact the hike leader directly.
