Niners’ members at the October Niners’ Awards Banquet honored Niners’ Captain John Bockoven with a gift certificate for his term as Captain. John thanked Diane Germain and Turney Oswald for their service as Social Event Chairpersons. He also thanked Carol and Doug Fett for their excellent stewardship of the Niners’ Couples monthly events.

The nominating committee presented the new slate of Niners’ officers: Elaine Girard, captain; Doug Fett, treasurer; and Max Painter and Collene Funk, social chairs. Niners’ Couples’ chairpersons are Pat and Kathy Traci. The membership enthusiastically approved these nominations.

Captain Cup winners were announced at the October Awards Banquet. Linda Aho and Dave Aho were the Captain Cup winners. For this season-long tournament, the scores on three specific days were accumulated, and the winners were those who turned in the lowest total net scores. Most Improved Niners were Mandy Whipple and Doug Fett. The 2026 Men’s Eclectic Award winner was Jim Gormly. Max Painter and Linda Aho tied for the Women’s 2026 Eclectic Award. These three eclectic winners improved the most on individual holes during the 2026 season.

Off-season casual play opportunities will be emailed to interested league members via golf genius. Members need to contact Linda Haskin to receive these weekly golf invitations. Non-members who wish to play with the Port Ludlow Women’s leagues in the off-season need to contact the PLGC pro shop. PL Golf Course membership is not a requirement for casual play.
