Port Ludlow Art League Program Speaker
The Port Ludlow Art League welcomes artist, Joanmarie Eggert, as the speaker for their October program meeting.
A geologist by education and an artist by experience, Joanmarie is inspired by the natural

world. Joanmarie states, “I strive to share the essence of a beautiful place, moment, or time.” She enjoys exploring the interplay between the physicality of materials and the serendipity of how they interact with each other. This approach enables her to use creative play as the start of her art works. For more information about Joanmarie’s art, visit portludlowart.org/joanmarie-eggert-online-show.
At the October program meeting, Joanmarie will lead a hands-on workshop to explore and share ideas to spark creativity. Some of the exercises may be new or a reminder of ones forgotten. This workshop is perfect for anyone:
· Looking for creative strategies and techniques
· Needing a method to overcome the fear of the blank page
· Dealing with the “ugly teenager” stage of a painting
· Willing to share their own creative suggestions
All materials will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring one non-precious object for a community still-life, such as car keys, a rock, or even a jar of pickles. However, all you really need to bring is an open mind and willingness to try something new.
The program meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, 1 – 3 p.m. at the Port Ludlow Beach Club. The Beach Club is located at 121 Marina View Drive in Port Ludlow. Guests are welcome to attend for a $5 fee. For more information, visit portludlowart.org.
