The Port Ludlow Art League welcomes pastel artist Susanna Baker as the speaker for their June Program Meeting.
Art enthusiasts and aspiring painters are invited to an immersive experience with Baker, a local pastel artist and Northwest Pastel Society member who will showcase the luminous world of pastels. Baker’s presentation, featuring a live demonstration and an exhibition of her finished works, hopes to demystify the pastel medium and encourage creativity.
Pastels are not quite painting, not quite drawing, but a unique medium offering unparalleled color vibrancy. Baker will demonstrate a simple, step-by-step landscape. Attendees will receive a small sheet of pastel paper and sample pastels to try their hand at the medium.
The program is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Beach Club located at 121 Marina View Drive in Port Ludlow. Guests are welcome to attend for a $5 fee. For more information, please visit portludlowart.org.
