Northwind Art’s Pop-up Sale, New Exhibits, and Classes

Small Expressions

 Northwind Art’s Small Expressions and Showcase 2025 exhibits at Jeanette Best Gallery will continue to be available for viewing during the Port Townsend’s first Saturday Art Walk on January 3. Both exhibits will close on January 5.

Pop-Up Art Supply Sale

The public is invited to shop for bargains on artwork, frames, and art supplies at Northwind Art’s second annual Pop-Up Sale on January 17, 18 and 19 at Jeanette Best Gallery. For updates on sale hours, please visit NorthwindArt.org. 

Confluence Exhibit

After a bit of sprucing up and the Pop-Up Sale, Jeanette Best Gallery will reopen January 26 for the Confluence exhibit, pairing two- and three-dimensional art by Darwin Nordin and Kristin Tollefson.

The Showcase 2026 exhibit brings together eleven Pacific Northwest artists exhibiting artwork in a variety of media. Both exhibits will be available for viewing during Port Townsend’s first Saturday Art Walk on February 7. 

Jeanette Best Gallery is open Thursdays through Mondays, noon - 5 p.m., and 5 - 8 p.m. during every first Saturday Art Walk. The gallery is located at 701 Water St. in Port Townsend. For more information, please visit NorthwindArt.org. 

Northwind Art School

The Northwind Art School at Fort Worden State Park offers the following open studios and new classes in January: 

• Drop-in Open Studio at Northwind, every Tuesday, 1 - 7 p.m.

• Watercolor Painting Level 1 with Suzanne Lamon, Fridays, January 9 - February 13

• New Year Open Studio with Glo Lamson, January 10 

• Open Studio for Jewelry and Metals with Madison Barnett, January 11

• Introduction to Mixed Media with Erika Wurm, January 17

• Hand Mending for Knits with Alexa Anderson, January 18 

• Watercolor: Composition 101 with David Repyak, January 19

• Make a Potato-Stamped Tote Bag with Jodi Ericksen, January 21

• Intro to the Sewing Machine with Evette Allerdings, January 31
