After 20 years of dedicated service to our community, Brian Belmont has retired. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Brian for his graciousness and support during this transition. I will truly miss our daily conversations and the opportunity to learn from his deep knowledge of the Port Ludlow area.
As your new General Manager, I am excited, a little anxious, and eager to begin this journey with you. I believe in open and honest communication and in the power of community collaboration. No one person can do it alone, but together, we can accomplish great things. My door is always open, and I welcome your ideas, thoughts, and suggestions for projects you’d like to see happen.
As we welcome a new year, we also look forward to new projects for 2026. Many of you are aware that the Board has approved the construction of an emergency stairway to enhance safety at the clubhouse. The contracts have been signed, and work will begin shortly. We anticipate the project will be completed before the pool opens in May.
At the November Board meeting, the Emergency Preparedness Committee (EPC) was dissolved. The members felt the Committee had fulfilled its mission of providing education and information to North Bay homeowners. Members of this Committee have been invited to join the Port Ludlow Village Council (PLVC) EPC.
Planning is underway for two important events: our Members’ Reception on Friday, April 17, at 5 p.m. and our Annual Meeting on Saturday, April 18, at 2 p.m. Please mark your calendars – we look forward to seeing you there.
I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful holiday season and that the year ahead brings joy and laughter to your lives. As a reminder, the Beach Club will be closed on New Year’s Day.
I leave you with a quote from a Sergeant Major I worked for while serving our country, and has had a huge impact on my life:
“There is no magical fairy that is going to do the work.” – Sgt. Major Green, USMC
