Meet Your Firefighters

My name is Robert (Bob) Wiechert. I have been coming to Marrowstone Island since the age of six. My mother and grandparents moved out here 82 years ago. After 47 years in the maritime industry, with the majority of my time as Chief Officer and Captain, I retired. During my career I trained in firefighting as a medical care provider and oversaw training and drills. After retiring, I looked for a way to contribute to the local community and thought becoming a volunteer with EJFR would be a good use of the skills I had acquired throughout my career. I'm looking forward to working with everyone at EJFR.
