Jefferson County Library District Marches into Spring!

Spring is just around the corner, and as flowers bloom and temperatures begin to rise, be sure to grab a good book to enjoy outside in the fresh air! Your Library District also has a wide selection of programs to explore in March, so be sure and visit the calendar at jclibrary.info to see our schedule.

America’s largest foreign affairs discussion program is returning in March with a new four-part workshop. Great Decisions helps people understand important issues and talk about them in a friendly, guided setting. Group members can also share their thoughts through an online survey. This is your chance to have your voice heard! No registration is needed, and the discussions will be held on Mondays from 5:15 – 6:45 p.m., starting March 2.

March programs for children include our monthly LEGO® at the Library program on Thursday, March 12, from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Come hang out and build LEGO creations in an open, imaginative space. Storytime for Toddlers and Preschoolers is held on Mondays at 10:30 a.m., and Babytime takes place each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. All family members are welcome to attend our Storytimes and Babytimes.

Spring means the start of gardening season! The WSU Master Gardeners will return to the Library in March with their popular monthly gardening programs. They’ll kick things off on Saturday, March 14, from 12 – 1 p.m. with Garden Know-How, a helpful talk about growing potatoes. Immediately following is the WSU Plant Clinic from 1 – 3 p.m. where you can ask any questions and discuss all gardening-related topics. Find the WSU Master Gardeners at the Library on the second Saturday of each month from now through October.
