Beach Club / North Bay – Update from the Manager

by Mike Wilson, General Manager

What a great start to the New Year! Congratulations to all the Seahawks fans on an incredible Super Bowl winning season. I hope everyone truly enjoyed the game. Being a champion is a special feeling, and the celebration is well‑deserved.

As we look ahead to our Annual Meeting on Saturday, April 18, we have begun the mailing process. Homeowners recently received an email with a form to authorize electronic communication. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is for our members to opt in. With rising costs for postage, paper, and ink, a one‑page letter can cost the association over $1,000 to mail to our members. While we do not expect full participation, we are currently at 6.7 percent. If you have already submitted your authorization, thank you. If you need the form resent, please let me know. You will also find a hard copy included in this month’s annual mailing.

With spring on the horizon and summer not far behind, we are planning to open the pool on Friday, May 15, weather permitting. This is also the date of our annual LMC Garage Sale, so now is a great time to begin preparing for the event. It will be here before you know it.

This month, the Accessibility Committee is hosting a fundraiser to support construction of an accessible building for members and guests. The next community‑wide event, Shamrock Shenanigans, will take place on Wednesday, March 18, from 5 –7 p.m. Tickets are $35 and available for purchase at the Beach Club through Friday, March 13. The menu will feature Corned Beef and Cabbage provided by God Bless Food.

As always, if you have questions or comments about this article or the on-going work at the Beach Club, I can be reached at 360-437-9201 or by email at GM@LMCBeachClub.org.
