At Northwind Art in Port Townsend, this month brings four exhibitions at the downtown gallery along with numerous offerings at the community art school.

The Confluence art exhibit illustrates the connectedness of all things and is on display through March 16 at Jeanette Best Gallery at 701 Water St. In this exhibit, Seattle artist and Centrum teacher Darwin Nordin and Tacoma sculptor Kristin L. Tollefson pair their wearable art and mixed media pieces. This exhibit is supported by a generous sponsorship from artist, Sylvia White.

A second exhibit combines dramatic paintings by Randy Sturgis and comedic sculptures by Peter Koronakos. The two Port Townsend artists’ show begins Thursday, March 19. Also on that day, the Ars Poetica exhibit will open. This is an exhibit that blends poetry and visual art created by participants in Northwind’s February Paint from Poems class.

In Jeanette Best Gallery’s inner room, the Showcase 2026 exhibit gathers photographers, a wood sculptor, and several types of painters into a vivid visual experience. The room has been reconfigured to be more spacious than in 2025.

The public is invited to a special artist talk on Saturday, March 7, at 3 p.m. Tollefson, who has more than 40 pieces of varying size in the Confluence exhibit, will share stories behind her artwork. First Saturday Art Walk will follow that same day from 5 – 8 p.m.

For more information about all Northwind exhibits, please visit NorthwindArt.org, or stop by Jeanette Best Gallery Thursdays through Mondays from noon – 5 p.m.
