Update from the Manager

by Mike Wilson, General Manager

Happy Summer, everyone!

As we move from June into the beautiful days of July, please remember to stay hydrated

and take precautions while enjoying the outdoors.

The outdoor pool is now open for the season, and Lynn Hovde is once again offering swim lessons through August. With over 20 years at the Beach Club, Lynn provides private and group lessons for members and their families. Contact her at lynnsswimschool@gmail.com.

Join us on the Beach Club lawn on Thursday, July 23, for a free community concert

featuring the Sound Advice Band. Enjoy Motown, soul, and favorites from the 60s and

70s. Snacks will be available or bring your own—don’t forget a lawn chair!

We’ve completed several improvements, including a new WiFi mesh network at the Beach Club, resurfaced sports courts at Kehele Park, and a new gravel pathway to improve pedestrian safety. Please remember to observe the 10 MPH speed limit.

Regarding Kehele Park, recent vegetation removal is the first step in planned upgrades. An ad-hoc subcommittee is now working with professionals to enhance the park with

improved landscaping and playground features. Revitalizing this underused space remains a key goal, and I’m excited about what’s ahead.

Thank you for your continued patience and support and have a safe and enjoyable summer.

As always, thank you for being part of our Ludlow community. I look forward to seeing

you around the Beach Club and throughout North Bay. If you have questions or comments about this article or the on-going work at the Beach Club, I can be reached at 360-437-9201 or by email at GM@LMCBeachClub.org.
