Tri-Area Garden Club Plant Sale

Tri-Area Garden Club is once again holding their huge spring Plant Sale at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. This year it will be held a little later: Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 23. Besides the usual eclectic mixture of plants, there will be hanging baskets, some amazing sedum planters, “salad bowls,” and even creatively painted rocks! The plants available will range from mature species to vegetable and flower starts, large sword ferns to small trees, succulents and sedums to a variety of bulbs and corms (LOTS of dahlias), natives to exotics.

The sale will take place in the Horticulture building at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 4907 Landes St., Port Townsend, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Credit cards are happily accepted! (Cash and checks, too!)  Proceeds from the sale fund grants for horticulturally themed projects in the community. Recent grant recipients include Food Bank Garden Growers, Dove House Herb and Vegetable Garden, Swan Farm Pea Patch Community Garden, plus several others.
