Port Ludlow Garden Club Presents: Winter Color

It’s no secret that winters in the PNW can be a bit gray, and that many of us are longing for more color!  Join us as we welcome horticulturist Doug Cockburn to talk about adding more color to our winter gardens.

Doug has been in business in Sequim for fifty years.  He started out when he was 13 with a small mowing route for neighbors and family members! He later became a state certified nursery and landscaping professional horticulturist. Many of you are probably familiar with his current business, The New Dungeness Nursery, in Sequim.  It’s a two-acre traditional nursery that he runs with his son.

In addition to an informative presentation, Doug will be bringing some plants of color for our raffle. He also generously visits customer’s yards at no charge to give suggestions and solve problems.

We hope that you can join us for this informative presentation. The event is at Port Ludlow Beach Club on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.  The Garden Club is open to all local residents. Due to limited seating, members and guests must RSVP five days prior to the event.  Guests are welcome to attend for a $5.00 donation and those without an RSVP will be admitted if seating is available.  Refreshments are complimentary.  RSVP to portludlowgardenclub@outlook.com.
