Featured Jeweler – Aran Galligan
Aran has been working in metals for 30 years, earning a BFA in Material Studies and

Metal from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MFA in Metal from SUNY New Paltz. They have also taught metalsmithing and craft-based business classes nationwide.
As a versatile materialsmith, Aran’s jewelry incorporates whatever material excites them at the moment. Drawing from the history of arts and crafts and modern design principles, their work often incorporates a technology meets tradition design. For more information about their jewelry, please visit AranMade.com.
For their jewelry exhibit, Aran is featuring jewelry from their Beachcomber Collection. The collection includes hand-forged and fabricated mixed metal pieces with precious and non-precious stones, inspired by shoreline treasures and ancient relics.
During February, Aran’s jewelry will be on display at the Port Ludlow Art League Gallery, Sound Community Bank, and online at portludlowart.org.
The public is invited to attend a reception for Aran on Wednesday, February 11, from 4 to 5 p.m. in the lobby of the bank and 5 to 6 p.m. at the adjacent Port Ludlow Art League Gallery. The bank and gallery are located at the corner of Oak Bay Road and Osprey Ridge Drive in Port Ludlow. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
