Martha’s Book Group - How to Read a Book

Monica Wood’s How to Read a Book is Martha’s Book Group selection for its Tuesday, April 14, meeting at 4 p.m. at the Bay Club. Wood’s novel is about the power of books in affecting changes in the lives of people beset by tragedies. The novel begins at a book group meeting in a women’s correctional facility moderated by a bookstore owner. Does Wood’s fictional book group’s discussions reflect our discussions? Come on by and find out.

MBG meets the second Tuesday of every month at 4 p.m. at the Bay Club. For further information contact Sarah Schuch at bookclub@plvoice.org. Freeman by Leonard Pitts, Jr., is May’s book club selection.
