Hope for the World Fundraiser

A fundraiser in Port Ludlow, Hope for the World, is a project of Apple of His Eye, a charity

based in Gresham, Oregon, whose founder, T.J. Saling Caldwell, now lives in Port Ludlow.

She was inspired to establish this 501©(3) non-profit charity after a missionary trip to India in 2006.

Apple of His Eye currently has projects in Rwanda and India, where it has been working for almost 20 years.  Primarily, the charity provides education and shelter for outcast children and orphans, vocational training for women who have been thrown into the streets or trafficked, shelter and food for elderly widows who have no other means of support, and

more. It is a passion they feel the residents of Port Ludlow may love to be a part of!

The first local fund-raising event for the charity will be held on Friday, June 19, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at the Beach Club.  It will be a dessert bar with beverages, live music, and a short

presentation with information on how people can get involved.

More about this charity can be found on this website: Appleofhiseyecharity.org.
