First Wednesday Luncheon – Ukuleles!

by Stephanie Buehler, Guest Writer

Closing out our season on Wednesday, June 3, from 11 a.m. — 1 p.m. at the Bay Club is Ukuleles Unite, a group housed in Port Townsend, dedicated to spreading “joie d'ukulele” throughout the community.  The group will be playing some favorites from the 60's and 70's and eagerly encourage their audience to sing along.  Sheets of lyrics will be provided, but you'll probably already know most of them.  Come join in the fun!

Lunch will be BYOL (bring your own lunch). Coffee, tea and cookies will be provided.

Please RSVP to firstwednesdayluncheon@gmail.com or sign up at either the Bay or Beach Club by. June 1st

Although entrance is free, you may bring a donation in the form of cash, or a check made payable to the Jefferson County Food Bank Association (JCFBA), and/or non-perishable food such as condiments, coffee, peanut butter, jelly, canned meat, boxed pasta, etc., egg cartons, and hygiene products.  Food donations must be unopened, undamaged and unexpired.

If you have some interesting ideas and would like to help in our continuing effort to support the Food Bank (October through June) to please contact one of the following people to discuss what's involved:

Stephanie Buehler at 360-301-6824, Fran Bodman at 360-437-5110, or Joan Astin at 360-437-9307.

First Wednesday Luncheon will resume on October 7, so be sure to mark your calendars.

Until then, have a wonderful summer.
