On Wednesday, February 4, at the Bay Club from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., we will be entertained by members of the West Sound Chorus, who became a favorite last year and who will be singing several tunes to ready us for Valentine's Day.
West Sound Chorus, a chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, formed in 1978 in Western Washington aimimg for high-quality performances, hosting popular Christmas and summer shows with quartets, performing for charities, and competing in regional barbershop contests. Most of their music has been arranged or touched in some way by their talented director of 25 years, Mike Menefee.
Please bring your own lunch. Cookies, coffee, and tea will be provided. RSVP for this luncheon to firstwednesdayluncheon@gmail.com or sign up at the Beach or Bay Club by February 1.
Heather Mirczak of Port Townsend Cyclery will be talking to us about recycling and upcycling on Wednesday, March 4, tentatively scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Beach Club. A variety of homemade soups will be provided and served buffet-style so you may taste several. RSVP's must be received by March 1.
There is no charge to attend our luncheons. However, we ask that you bring a donation in the form of cash, check made payable to the Jefferson County Food Bank Association (JCFBA), and/or non-perishable food such as condiments, coffee, peanut butter, jelly, canned meat, boxed pasta, etc., or hygiene products. Food donations must be unopened, undamaged and unexpired. For February we will also have a Bay Club Donation Jar to help defray the event charges we incur there.
Be sure to mark your calendar for April 1 (no foolin'). Katie Davis, from Jefferson County Family Court Services, will be our speaker.
