Cell Tower Update

According to a notice sent today (9/25/2026), the Verizon/Horizon application for a cell tower to be located on land off Fleet Drive in Port Ludlow has been withdrawn, at least temporarily. According to correspondence which Greg Ballard, Jefferson County DCD Development Administration, shared with Parties of Record (aka anyone who submitted comments on the application), the required new information was not provided by the deadline set by the county.


However, Ballard adds, "When the applicant submits a new application, SEPA checklist, and studies we will begin the process over again."


In short, stay tuned. The fat lady has yet to sing.
